I decided it was time for me to post a bucket list on my blog, a 100 by 40 list if you will and I have Amber from The Usual Bliss to thank for the idea.
Basically it’s 100 things I’d like to accomplish by the time I’m 40 so I’ve got until November 5, 2019 to complete it.
You’d think that would be plenty of time but there are a lot of things on this list that might be time-consuming or challenging. For example, the traveling section mainly because I’ll be trying to stick to a budget, building up some emergency savings and paying off debt.
But I see this as just another adventure a dog mom can have… I hope you enjoy the posts that are sure to follow!
Obviously items you see crossed out are things that I’ve completed while the ones in bold are a work in progress.

These are so awesome! I see similarities in our goals, too- cool. I just wrote about my key lime pie… it’s not as hard as you think! These will be fun to read about as you complete them.
Thanks for being inspired by my list and letting me cross of “get a friend to do this with me!”
I made a key lime pie over the 4th holiday but it needs a little tweaking… I love the stuff!
And, thanks for such a great idea, this is going to be fun!
The crust! The secret is the crust!
Really? The recipes I’ve been looking at are a basic graham cracker, butter, sugar and sometimes cinnamon crust baked before being filled. I need to do some more digging!
I have my own homemade crust that I do, which is pretty basic. I’ve always wondered what a gingerbread crust would be like, or some other cookie other than graham. The difference between a pre-made graham cracker crust and a homemade one with this pie is VAST.
If I can make a homemade crust I will every time, HUGE difference!
The pre-mades are still totally delish!

Love this list! I’m trying to get up the nerve to read Gone With the Wind before I watch it, but it’s just such a daunting task!
Thanks! I’m not sure that I could get myself to read Gone with the Wind… I like to read but that would take me a little longer than most!
I love your list and how it ranges from the simplest thing like making a nice dinner to traveling to Europe!
I will have to make one sometime.
Thanks for sharing this fab post with us today!
Isn’t it great how your hopes and dreams can vary so much? And, you really should make a list it’s fun!
I will!
Hi Emily,
Susie sent me
. Love your list…i am hoping in the near future i can write one too. I am sure you will get to do them all.
I sure hope so, especially the traveling bit. Thanks for stopping by!
Visiting from Susie’s blog. What a great list. I need to sit down and write one, too. Love the travel ones.
Thanks you! It was actually harder to make a list than I thought it would be.
Much as I’d like to see plenty of donations to the Best Friends Animal Society, I hope your contribution is slim due to your Bucket List achievements.
Very true… maybe I should change it to every item I cross off will get a donation!
Then everybody wins!
Wow! Found you via the awesome Susie’s party!
Great list and I adore the simple ones – I hope you achieve all of them!
Thanks for stopping by and as for the list, I’m working on it!
Susie sent me! Like the list – mine looks similat, but I’d have to adjust the ‘age to’ are as I’m working on my second half-century (but not acting it!) Some of the simplest ones are the hardest to accomplish – like forging the past or getting up earlier – they key is to make the days count whatever you do! thanks
Thanks for stopping over from Susie’s. And, you’re right sometimes the ones that look so simple are actually really hard!
I just danced on over here from Susie’s blog party. Seeing a bucket list in print helps make it far more real and attainable. Great post.
Thanks! It’s a work in progress!

Aw, thanks. I do have the party planned for next weekend, she’s going to love it!
That is a very long bucket list. I love your tattoo ideas to represent Dottie and Boomer, I’ve been thinking along similar lines but not exactly sure what or where to put them.
Yeah it’s a big list, I don’t know that I will be able to do everything but I’m going to try!
I know what tattoos I want to get but I need the courage to do it, I’m such a baby.
It is good to have goals
My memory of the pain with my first tattoo was minimal and apparently if you choose a more fleshy spot rather than one where the skin is close to the bone then there is less pain. I haven’t gotten another one since because I’m so indecisive. You could always get a small paw print in each location and go for larger if you find the pain bearable
That’s kind of what I was thinking.
This is a really cool idea. I think I might need to make a list of my own!
Thanks, it’s a lot of fun to sit down and make and even more fun to cross things off!
